LAUTE DAMAI'S JOURNEY FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Laute Damai, a 76-year-old man from the remote hills
of Parbat, had lived in darkness for years due to
advanced cataracts, ultimately losing his sight entirely.
Once a self-reliant individual, Laute became
dependent on his wife for even the basic day-to-day
activities, as his children had long since left, and
